    Volkswagen Foundation Project: "The Role of International Criminal Law in Georgia - Current Challenges and Jurisprudential Perspectives"

     

    The Institute for Comparative and Transnational Criminal Law of the TSU Faculty of Law, within the framework of the program - 'Institutional Change and Social Practice Research on the Political System, the Economy and Society in Central Asia and the Caucasus' - funded by Volkswagen Foundation pursues the research project  - 'The Role of International Criminal Law in Georgia - Current Challenges and Jurisprudential Perspectives'.

     

    Various scientific workshops/conferences, summer/winter schools, teaching courses, seminars, and research programs are scheduled in Georgia, Germany, and the Netherlands in cooperation between TSU, Jena, Bielefeld, Berlin Universities, and The International Criminal Court of the Hague.

     

    The research fellow of the third German-Georgian criminal law project is Dr. Giorgi Dgebuadze, Assistant-Professor of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and the host-supervisor - Dr. Edward Schramm, Professor of Friedrich Schiller Jena University.
